Weldaloy expands in Warren

Weldaloy Products of Warren is a leading provider of custom copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous forgings. It serves a variety of industries including aerospace, electronics, power generation, material processing and more. Offering a vertical integration process, the company provides customers a one-stop-shop for forged and machined non-ferrous metal products.

Approaching its 70th anniversary, the company is one of only a few in the country with the capabilities to produce low-volume, larger-sized forged and machined non-ferrous metal products. Internal capabilities make it possible for them to offer valuable and flexible options for customers. To capitalize on the company’s unique market share, they have adopted a more proactive approach to growth and expansion.

As part of their plans to diversify into new markets, Weldaloy seized an opportunity to purchase a neighboring building with frontage on Hoover Road. Complete rehabilitation of the space began in late 2015, and the result is an additional 26,847 square feet of space.

“Expanding on our seamless rolled ring capabilities has allowed us to produce a wide variety of ring sizes in less time while simultaneously increasing reliability,” said Vice President and Chief Manufacturing Executive Kurt Ruppenthal. “We’re always looking for new ways to better serve our customers. For those where timing is highly critical, we can now offer a solution.”

While most of the new building is devoted to manufacturing, the rehabbed building also includes 10,000 square feet of new offices for employees involved in operational support of the business.

“Our new offices are bright and airy and provide a more ideal setting for team member interaction. New technology upgrades have also improved work flow and communication,” said Vice President and Chief Administrative Executive Michelle McCullough. “The expansion has created a lot of excitement and optimism on the part of our employees. I feel privileged to be a part of Weldaloy for 18 years, and the renovation is evidence that our owner, Rick Warren, truly cares for the people here.”
